Do you recognize these characters?

This was apparently the last time we were all together. 1961? 1962? '63? Does anyone have a clue?

If we get someone to take a picture like this again, I won't be holding Nancy--sorry, Nancy, and I wonder how many will be chewing bubblegum.

I thought originally, that it might have been August '62.  I know I was in West Middlesex then and the Cleveland Fairs were also there. ( I remember reading about Marilyn Monroe's death with Lee.) However, given that Mary Anne is wearing a coat and the rest of us have longer sleeved outfits on, I think it is spring of some year.  Spring of 62? Spring of 63?

Thoughts on being cousins

Cousins are the first friends in your life. No one will ever understand your crazy family like your cousins. And, even if you don’t get together or talk as much as you would like to as you get older, they’ll always remain your best childhood friends.

Fanny and I are probably the only people who would know everyone in this picture, although the rest of you should recognize some of these characters. They are so young. I wonder if they had any idea of where their lives would go. 

Memories

I don't know the date of this photograph, but it is absolutely possible that some of us are older than Grandma, Grandpa or Nellie are in this picture-well, ok.. I mean me.  I am probably older than they were.

In this picture, they are both in their 30s and I fear we all can only look at our 30s in the rear view mirror.

While I hope to spend a lot of this blog looking ahead, and giving some information about Myrtle Beach, this whole experience causes me to look back and think about memories of West Middlesex, our parents, grandparents, Nellie, Fannie and Mac, and of course, each other.

I have to admit age issues and gender issues meant that some of you I never knew as well as I should--which is why it will be fun to get to know everyone again and share.
